During the program, you will experience some days with slower losses or even gains. If you feel your weight loss has slowed down or isn’t exactly what you expected, please check over the list below and quickly correct your meal plans.

SPICES

Using the wrong spices. Spices must be used with extreme caution. Check all ingredients any foods that are not allowed (shredded orange peel), any form of sugar (brown, white maltose, dextrose, etc.) and starch (modified corn starch) and/or any kind of oil (e.g. garlic salt can have sugar and modified corn starch) which is not approved for the HCG Protocol.

BAD LOAD DAYS

Not loading with enough fat during the load days (first 2 days of HCG program). This may explain hunger and associated moodiness during the first week of HCG 500 calorie fat burn phase.

MIXING VEGETABLES

Mixing vegetables at a meal. Dr Simeon’s research specifically states one vegetable at a time. Some people may do fine mixing them but most experience slowing or stalls in weight loss when doing so.

CHEWING GUM

Chewing gum, mints, etc. Unless they are sugar free, they are not allowed during the program.

DIET SOFT DRINKS

Drinking diet drinks that are not listed including diet soda. Only water, mineral water, coffee and teas should be consumed.

BEEF

Eating too much beef high in fat (including mince). Veal is a suggested replacement but is more expensive. Weight loss can increase by eating less beef and more chicken and allowed seafood.

INCORRECT PORTIONS

Weighing 100gm of protein cooked. The protein must be weighed raw at 100gm.

NO VARIETY

Eating the same protein for both lunch and dinner could slow progress. Food selections should be varied within the allowable items.

WATER

Not drinking enough water. You should be drinking a minimum of ½ your body weight in ounces or 2 litres of water daily.

MORNING WEIGH INS

Weighing in significantly different clothing or a different time each morning causes undue concern and confusion or false appearance of weight gain/loss. The best time to weigh is in the morning, after going to the bathroom and before eating or drinking.

EATING OUT

Eating at restaurants. The meats in many restaurants have been “juiced” or manipulated to be more flavoursome, tender or juicy, with a multitude of processes that could easily slow your weight loss (particularly chicken).

IN CONCLUSION

Take these into account if you are experiencing a slow loss or stalls throughout your DETOX26 program and if you are guilty of any of these, do your best to rectify it immediately and you will soon see bigger losses coming your way.
